OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of the Franklin Phonetic Primary School Sunnyslope campus is to prepare students with the academic skills and

personal attributes that will allow them to be successful in their future college and career choices. Students will be able to perform

grade appropriate tasks in the areas of math, science, social studies, computer applications, art, music and Spanish as well as

attain proficiency in the foundational skill of reading. The school strives to insure that all children meet and surpass prescribed

grade level expectations. Following the philosophy of Concerted Cultivation parents are encouraged to work with teachers and

education authorities to actively monitor and structure student’s achievement opportunities by completing nightly homework and

participating in extra classes. Children will learn to study, behave appropriately and value learning as they are taught in an exciting

orderly classroom environment. By involving parents and including fine arts instruction within the curriculum the school strives to

meet the needs of all students and please all families, including those who favor a more traditional approach to education.

AFTERCARE AVAILABLE!

Parents in need of aftercare will need to register with the office manager, Nidia Luna. Please call the school if you are in need of aftercare until 530pm. Families may inquire about fee. 

Children need healthy meals to learn!

Franklin Phonetic School Sunnyslope will be offering healthy meals to all students at no cost every school day in School Year 2021-2022. Your child(ren) will receive free breakfast and lunch meals every school day without having to pay a fee or submit a household application.

Serving students in grades K through 6. We are unique in that we have very small classes (15-18 students per room) with a highly qualified teacher and an assistant.This ensures that our students receive an abundant amount of personal attention.  What makes us different is our phonetic based instruction and our emphasis on the "Arts." In addition to the Core subjects (Math, English, Science, and Social Studies), our students also receive instruction in Art, Music, Spanish, Computers, PE, and Drama each week (Drama is only for Grades 3-6).

Such notices will indicate the date, time and place of the meeting. Meeting agendas will be posted in the office window at least 24 hours prior to meetings.
